Make a difference with Random Acts of Kindness by Paying it Forward

Thanks a Million

by Mari-Lyn on October 8, 2009

I would like to have World Kindness – Wouldn’t it be great? My kindness challenge is that everyone commit to performing Random Acts of Kindness, and then blog about it. I challenge other Bloggers to to participate.

Yes, the time is now to start promoting the Bloggers Unite for one day. There are many events that Bloggers are coming together to promote, inspire people to take action locally and globally. Mine of course is World Kindness Day, November 13.

I was invited to attend a on-line chat with Walter Schwabe about his Thanks a Million.ca Brandon Mendelson and Brandon’s summer project at #AMHF. They have teamed up together – with momentum together, they will achieve more. Sedona Pies, was involved with Walter’s project here in Sedona, AZ – of which you can read about it at http://sedonapies.com. Red Rock TV, Megan is the coordinator of the local Tweet Up’s- the cause was the Food Bank, on September 15, 2009.

The challenge was to get more people to donate. How do we do this? Most Food Banks aren’t set-up to do Tweeting and they are very busy just coping with their own challenges, getting the food out to people and local agencies that they serve.

If you would like to get involved in making a difference in your own local community – put food bank bins in grocery stores, put them in your neighborhood and take pictures and post them on thanksamillion.ca

Join us on November 13, and blog about #1MPics. You can add your name at: http://www.bloggersunite.org/event/world-kindness-day and check out Walter’s site – Fused Logic. In the meantime, subscribe to my feeds and we’ll keep you posted.
